Elysian, a 10-person raiding guild, is currently recruiting to fill a few vacancies in our raiding roster. But with so many raiding guilds to choose from, why should anyone be interested in us? Simply put, we're a close-knit, fun loving, and mature guild that seeks endgame progression without raiding until our eyes bleed. While we don't raid as often as other guilds on the server, we bring a high level of dedication and skill to the game that allows us to make the most of the time we have. We recognize that many of our members prefer to have a life outside of WoW, so we strive to offer a good balance between raiding and the real world.
As for recruitment needs, we are currently looking for the following classes to fill the gaps in our roster:
- Healers: Possibly 1 healer of any kind.
You are more than welcome to apply to Elysian, even if we aren't looking for your particular class. Real life has a bad habit of getting in the way sometimes, so our recruitment needs could change at any moment.
For those of you curious about our progression, here is where Elysian stands as of 11/20/09:
- Naxxramas / Sartharion / Malygos: Fully cleared.
- Ulduar: 13/14 cleared (everything except Algalon the Observer), 7/9 Hard modes (Flame Leviathan, XT-002, Assembly of Iron, Hodir, Thorim, Freya, General Vezax, Yogg-Saron w/2 keepers).
- Trial of the Crusader: 3/5 Hard modes.
If you are still reading this post, and you think Elysian might be the right guild for you, then here are the details:
- Our raid schedule for 10-person raids are Tue / Wed / Thu 08:30 PM - 11:00 PM EST. Optional 25-person raids and Alt runs typically occur on the weekends.
- You should have a willingness to come prepared for raids. This means familiarizing yourself with new encounters ahead of time, and coming to the raid with a good supply of bandages, food, potions, and other consumables.
- We are focusing mostly on hard mode encounters within Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader at this point, so having acceptable level gear and a knowledge of how the fights work is a plus.
- A good attitude and a sense of humor are a must. We're very low on drama, and we'd like to keep it that way.
