As always, though, we are continually looking at how we can make the experience of the game better for everyone from the completely new player to the sharp veteran who has cut their teeth on the classic raids and worked their way up through the ranks from there.

As most of the WoW players, I'm not playing the game because of the game. I'm playing this game because I like to spend my time with other players/my guild etc.
I know few people that hat 300d /played on a single avatar - pre-BC! This just means nothing now. All the time seems wasted. Nowadays, it should be easy to level, gear up and catch up the "end game" in like 10-12 days of playtime. What about the other 200+ days? It means nothing.
As WoW evolves, the experience changes. I just hate all the lies and miscommunication between the community and blizzard employees.
The first step was it to allow character transfers for money. Then they came up with name changes, followed by character customization. The next step would be faction change and then, guess what...
...paid premades or maybe even ingame gold/items for real cash? I know, this is against the actual "terms of use"/their own policy but even those evolve and change over time, don't you think so?

I really do have a feeling at some point there will be paid premades, after yesterday's announcement. I'd guess they'll start at x level with some Heirloom items and such.

Right now they dont have any paid services that affect gameplay at all (this new in works feature changes only the user's gameplay and only the racials as it seems like)
Hopefully they wont give gold/levels/items for money ever

Honestly, I can see them having "premade or Item" sales at some point in the future, and I wouldn't blame them. Hell, I get whispered in game all the time by "Ni hao" sales-associates trying to get me to buy from them. And if you don't think this stuff is already happening, you're fooling yourself.
I checked one of their stores out the other day, just to see how bad it's gotten. Did you know you can buy runs through Naxx and Ulduar with guaranteed #'s of drops, you can buy the Mechano-hog, built and delivered to your mailbox (for around $300), specific BOE items out of said instances for $'s. It's rediculous!!!
So, really, if people are already buying this stuff, why shouldn't Blizz profit? Afterall, it's THEIR product. I don't agree with people doing that and I've never bought anything myself like that, but it's a problem we're already dealing with. It's not like it's a NEW thing that will DESTROY the game! It's been happening for years! Wake up! At least if BLIZZ did it, those friggin companies would go outta business and the gold farmers would be a thing of the past (or at lest there'd be less of them).
Really, It's capitalism at it's base: You can profit off what others want and are willing to pay for. Obviously players (some at least) ARE willing to pay for it, but you know what? That's THEIR choice, it's just a game, if that's how they wanna play, I say who cares? It doesn't affect my game AT ALL. They're really just cheating themselves out of the full experience of a truely (in my mind) Great game!
I personally enjoy raiding and EARNING my gear. I love the feeling of accomplishment I get after downing a difficult boss, but that's me.
I HAVE paid to have my Belf hunter changed form female to male, I was new to the game when I rolled her and didn't think she'd by my main. I got tired of it, so I changed it. Does that make me a bad "broken" gamer? I don't think so, I just changed how I played the game. On that same point, I'll prolly make that same toon an ALLY if given the chance to reroll that as an Ally toon (not quite sure how their gonna make that happen). I'd love to make my hunter a Dwarf! I don't want to level a new toon, that's MY choice, doesn't impact your gameplay at all. I just want to make an old toon (not my main anymore) into something new.
Ok, so that's my 2cents, let the flame war commence = /
Opinions are like buttholes...we all have one and they all pretty much stink. This is mine, hope it's not TOO offensive!

the problem is, wow needs to be fair, and its not fair if the ones with the most irl money is the ones best suited, it needs to be decided by doing ingame stuff like playing the ah, grinding, doing raids.
you say you changed your play style when you changed your sex of your char? its only cosmetic, doesnt help you in the game, buying say full t7 helps you alot, its not compareable.
and what fun would a game, where the goal(and fun) is partly to get gear and improve your char if you can just buy you from it? why play at all then? For me, thats like saying, im gonna build this brand new kitchen by my own, and hire someone to do it for you.
No offense to you, im just spewing out oppinions, and hopefully blizzard never would allow buying stuff thats not cosmetic in the game

I didn't mean to say that changing sex changed the PLAY of the game. I merely meant it changed MY character and MY character ALONE. i.e. NO impact on anyone else, I didn't benifit anything tangible from it (other than guys finally stopped hitting on me-thank the gods!).
I totally agree that I hate to see it happen as well, but I live in the real world and I know it's prolly gonna happen. This game is a business FIRST. If it didn't make any money...it woulnd't still be around. It takes money to run all the stuff Blizz does, constant updates, new content, hotfixes, pretty quick response to in-game issues. That ALL costs money, I'm practical and can see Blizzard Entertainment looking at these issues as a source of further gain. If Blizz was really in it for just the sake of making a great game and helping gamers out, they wouldn't charge us for anything they ALREADY charge us for (sex change, Paid toon Moves, name changes).
I HOPE AND PRAY that it doesn't happen, but I can see the good as well as the bad with it, IF they did.
In the end, I DO agree with you. I'm just playing Devil's advocate >)

Yeah, if they ever do have some form of premade service, it would be something that doesn't impact the current content. You can definitely expect that if it ever happened, it would be something like starting at 55 like a Death Knight. Then again, that could be accomplished by introducing a lengthy quest chain at max level that allows you to "tutor" your knowledge to your "students," basically adding lore flavor to allow you to create alts at a higher level.
