Where is Mankrik's wife?
|
I have a few requests.
1) Can you get 10/25 man filter on there ASAP? This is easily the most crucial function missing at the moment. I know it's been requested and you are working on it; could you put it just a little higher in your list of things to do?
2) I disagree with your preference to WoWProgress over GuildOx. WoWProgress does not differentiate between guilds that are strict 10/25 and those who are not. For example: My guild <Eternal Reign> is #1 on the server in terms of strict 10 man content. On GuildOx we get recognized for that. On WoWProgress <Plaguechill> is #1 in 10 man content. <Plaugechill> is also #1 in 25 man content. They have gear that is superior to our gear: More crit, HP, mana, haste, arm pen, ect. Any one of their members could outdps our best. Not to mention they have more man power. They can run twice as many 10 mans as we do. So going by WoWProgress guilds that run 10 and 25 man content have a better chance at outranking guilds who only run 10 man content because they have better gear from the 25 mans and more manpower. But I digress. GuildOx is far more specific in terms of ranking and gives the little man a chance at claiming #1 in some area or another.
Other than that I can't complain. I love the ease of use. Being seeing my guild on the first page when the filters are set makes me very happy. :P Keep it up!

I just checked again and the raid time filters are still completely broken. I turn on Wednesday/Thursday/Friday and the first matches are Sun/Mon/Tues raiding guilds, and at the very end some Fri/Sat/Sun guilds I could at least make one raid of. There are also far too many guilds that list NO raiding times at all that show up. I don't know how it's filtering but it's just not working the way I expect.
What I would like is for it to do the OPPOSITE of what some people have requested a check box to do. To show me guilds that DO NOT raid on the days and times I DO NOT select. e.g. If I don't select Saturday-Tuesday, then move to the top all guilds that only raid Wednesday-Friday. THIS INCLUDES GUILDS THAT RAID ONLY WEDS-THURS. Just because I select a day/time doesn't mean I *have* to raid on that day/time, just that I CAN.
Functionally, it should be very easy to set up a filter like this, just calculate an Attendance%. If you can attend, based on the selected times, 100% of the guild's raids, they'd get a 100% score as far as attendance filtering. If you can attend two out of three raids, it'd get a 66% weighting, and so on. Right now it doesn't work even close to this way, and I in fact can't even figure out how it IS working, since it puts dozens of guilds to which I would never ever make a raid *before* guilds I'd at least make one or two out of three.

Alright, I've updated both the patch notes and known issues threads. I'll see if we can push better raid time filtering and better distinction between 10 and 25 player guilds to the front of the list.

I'll have Vjeux take a look at this, because it sounds like it's either not working how it was originally speced it out, or there's a bug somewhere. Raid times most definitely should alter the relevance to a point where you see guilds you can actually raid with first.
Perhaps the relevance weighting isn't quite high enough yet; we can always tweak that.

There seem to be a small problem with the guildprogress link for The Venture Co. (EU).
Our rank currently says N/A and the link points to
Code:
http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/eu/The-Venture-Co./Vision+of+Excellence
which leads to a blank page.
I've looked us up on wowprogress.com and the problem seems to be the period sign in the link, as our guild is linked at:
Code:
http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/eu/The-Venture-Co/Vision+of+Excellence

I've managed to get it to read in our progression kills but it still won't recognise the guild as existing on armory
Keep up the good work btw, this has potential to be a great tool.

I am unable to save or publish due to my server/guild not being in your database. We are a small guild named Jaded Edge on US-Korialstrasz server. When I attempted to add it, it said it did not exist. I copied and pasted the url from the armory for the guild, and although it pasted, it still does not "see" us on the armory.

Just noticed that when you hit the reset button the search text box isn't cleared from the last search you had in it.
The results are cleared, just not the text.

I deleted my guild from the guild management page then re-created it, and when I went to publish it gave me an error saying someone is already claiming this guild and asked me to do a character verification.
Is this a bug? If not, I would imagine it shouldn't need to verify if the guilds are managed by the same WoR account. I'd try using the verification but I can't log in to wow from this computer.

Hrm, thanks -- I'll pass that on and add it to known issues. Definitely sounds buggy.

On our guild recruitment it shows our progression wrong. There may be 1 or 2 people in the guild who have completed something but not enough to call it guild progress.
Can we have manual options to set Guild Progression?
Thanks!

You have to choose "remember me" on the forums.

We're making some changes to how many people are required to have an achievement before progression is tracked. The hurdle has been ensuring we don't get banned by the armory for the number of requests each day (suffice to say we had more guilds initially sign up than expected and it caused us to get banned for 24 hours).
