NHN is a late night raiding guild put together for the people who spend their days working, getting educated, with family, or whatever. We raid later in the evening so that people can continue to have as much of a day/night life as they choose and still be able to progress with the available content. We are a friendly and fun loving group of adults who still know how to get down to business when facing a raid boss.

I would not call us a hardcore guild but we are far from being casuals. We only have a few required raiding nights but are still able to progress at a reasonable pace. So far we are farming ToC10 and 25, have cleared ToGC10 and are working on getting two regular groups, and have downed 1/5 in ToGC25.

We have recently lost people due to career or school responsibilities and this has slowed our heroic progression. This is why we need YOU! If you are an experienced and dedicated raider, check us out. You won?t regret it.

At What point did Blizzard decide...

At what point did Blizzard decide that in their wonderfully vast game, that the only element truly important is end game raiding?

I have played on minimum a dozen servers regularly since the game came out. This includes Alliance and Horde, PVE, PVP and many new servers that have opened up. I have had numerous 80s, both factions of a variety of classes, and too many 60-70s to count. I generally delete my toons out of boredom and start over.

Observations ive made over the years include; A large portion of PVPers who have no interest in raiding, a large portion of players who will never get the min gear necc to raid (for a variety of reasons) and another large portion who would like to raid but simply cant pull it off (for a variety of reasons). I myself couldnt find a worthy guild till BC came out, no matter where i played. I did MC once, never did BWL, i did AQ once, and managed to dip my toes in Zulaman once. Now i was geared and ready but any guilds that i could and did get into had no shots.

All told you have what i have seen as a small group of hardcore raiders that actually are able to accomplish their goals and yet thats all Blizzard wants to talk about and the whole game now is designed to rush you up to 80 and try to get you in a raid, even though it doesnt usually happen.

And 80 isnt an accomplishment, the game couldnt be any easier. You can solo from 1-80 in greens and never even bother to instance, without much trouble. People who think they have skill because they have an 80 are sadly mistaken.

Look at whats been done since the game came out;

1) no more searching for quest items/mobs...now we have big yellow symbopls above thier heads saying "HERE I AM!".

2) XP Per level has been lowered.
3) XP per quest has been increased.
4) NO more working for things (Mount quests, Class quests)..now we simply give them to you at a trainer.
5) in an effort to improve LFG we now have duel speccing...so basically your not important anymore, we dont need a warrior, many classes can tank, and who cares that your a holy priest, your not special other classes can heal.
6) Professions? almost meaningless...the BOP epics were great, now everything basically is BOE, why bother leveling up? simply buy the gear.
7) and mounts??? whats next flying at 20?

The fan base was growing out of control each year, none of this seemed necc why remove the elements of the game that so many found challenging? I now play because i simply enjoy the graphics, diff races, mobs etc... but i have to do extreme things within the game to feel like my skills are challenged.

I agree that the endgame stuff is very cool but the whole experience is what is a turn off. First off if i can manage to get in a 25 man group? Are they geared? skilled? is the raid leader some power hungry moron who is going to dump people at the slightest whim? Am i going to be forced to hear nonsense via vent for hours because so many players feel the need to act out whenever possible? If we are successful am i going to actually see one of these 1% etc drops fall, and then yay! i get to roll against 4-6 other people for it, that is if the raid leader doesnt simply decide to give it to a friend. Oh boy!

Raiding, after the initial completion is simply another grind for gear, it loses its flavor just like BGing nonstop for weeks for gear, we do it as a means to an end. And another thing Raiding isnt challenging to my skills...its me spamming my buttons..While HOPING the other 24 guys can do thier job, therein lies the challenge. I mean not only can i read up on every encounter and know exactly what happens, I can watch videos of it if i choose, AND i can use addons which will do most of my work for me. Hell Raiding while watching TV has become the norm. CHALLENGE US PLEASE! We all arent 12 and lazy, some of us want to work hard (and that doesnt mean lowering drop rates...).

The game is a wonderful collection of a variety of elements. I thought BC was outstanding, WOTLK a failure. I really hope the xpac is as cool as it sounds. But i fear that when the end finally comes for WOW it will be because of Blizzard not because another MMO has come on the horizon.

We raid every day except Friday and Saturday 20:00 - 23:30 (Server time)

About us
RADEON is looking for players who know their class. What this means is we do not want players who rolled an alternate character, picked up some gear, and decided he/she wanted to play this character now. We want someone who knows their class inside and out and we expect this from all of our members.

We're looking for players who have extremely good environmental awareness. Boss encounters today are extremely unforgiving to tunnel visioning healers and/or DPS. You have to know where you are at all times and if you do not, your performance will show this. We're not looking for players who spend an exceptional amount of time in ice blocks, doom fire patches, in void zones, or anything else that could be considered as ridiculous as these few examples.

Being able to actually make our raid times is also extremely important. Trial members are expected to make at least 90% of all raids. During progress we raid up to 5 days a week. However, when new content is defeated and officially considered "farm content," we only raid 2 or 3 days a week. Our raids start at 8:00pm and end around 11:30pm. If you cannot dedicate yourself to that schedule, this guild is not a good choice for you.

Being able to maximize your character is also extremely important. We expect you to put enough time into your character to maximize it's potential. For example, we are not looking for tanks who are honored with Sons of Hodir and have herbalism and tailoring as professions. You will be expected to have professions that increase the effectiveness of your characters stats as opposed to professions that increase your gold count.

Finally, we're looking for players who have a great attitude towards the game and other players. We want members who enjoy raiding, enjoy the challenge the game brings, and know how to interact with other people. We spend a lot of time in this game and a "cancerous" player does nothing but bring down the entire raid. A positive raiding atmosphere is extremely important to us. Because of this, we have an absolute "zero tolerance" policy when it comes to guild drama. We're also very vocal about improving our raids and we want members who know how to take constructive criticism and learn from it. We understand that nobody is perfect but we also understand that learning from your own (or other players) mistakes is part of the progression process.

has been a progression raiding guild on Arthas for 2 years, and has always had a solid 10 man core. Currently, our 10 man core farms Tribute to Insanity in 10 man ToGC.

We cleared 2/5 in ToGC 25 after only our 1st week of pushing that specific content. But we?ve decided to kick non-serious raiders, so we?re currently seeking a possible guild-merge opportunity in order to come to a solid 25 ToGC line-up, as well as a future 25 core for Icecrown Citadel.

The members we removed had inconsistent attendance and poor performance and we felt that they were holding our more dedicated and ambitious members behind. Many of the remaining members have been raiding with us for over a year and have maintained very high attendance

We are looking for a 10 man guild or a 25 man guild that is struggling with players to merge with. If you are looking for a guild with quality players, and looking to be a hardcore raider. Then we are the guild for you, this is of course a long and delicate process but we are willing to work with anyone who are competant enough and as open minded as us.

We plan on forming a new guild. Our current raid times are 7:00pm to 11:00pm Mon, Wed, Fri, and we have been using DKP for loot. However we wish to negotiate new raids times and new loot rules for the new guild.

eXistenZ is a 4 years old raiding guild with focus on a mature, stable and enjoyable community. We want to explore and beat the raid content WoW has to offer - but at our own pace, and in a way which keeps it enjoyable for us. All raids end at 23:00 apart from progression raids or if we want to finish an instance completely in a day.
Friday and Saturday are free days, usually used for 10 man instances or PvP. Attendance is not mandatory on these days.

Why pick us and not some other guild:

We raid fewer days and hours than most raiding guilds do (5 days @ ~4 hours/day).
Our guild has been here for over 4 years, and should be here for a longer time to come.
We don't raid stack or swap people unless really needed on progression kills.
We offer you a reasonably fast-paced progression through raid content with a focus on progression and harder achievements, not farming.
We offer a simple and fair DKP system which favors higher attendance members.
Respec costs during raids provided by bank.
Enchanting materials provided by bank (as long as our supply covers the demand).
Repair costs sometimes covered during progression.

We expect the following from all our members:

Come prepared to raids. This includes reading up on the encounters we're progressing on, while also bringing the necessary consumables for your class.
Enchanting and gemming of your gear with apropiate enchants and gems.
Best behavior towards others in the guild, and non-guild members as well.
Greed, lying, selfishness and similar can and will warrant immediate removal from the guild.
You are expected to chose your talents as it will benefit our raiding most, and re-spec according to our needs when asked to. You will usually be free to spec as you desire when we have content on farm status, however have to spec 100% PvE while we are progressing and learning new content.
Your problems are your own. We expect a stable internet connection, and stable access to a computer as well as the ability to personalize your UI and not have issues caused by it.
You are required to maintain an attendance of over 80%.
Sense of humour! If you get offended that someone made a joke about you, this ain't the place for you.
If you cannot handle criticism for your mistakes you shouldn't be applying.

A short history:

eXistenZ was founded on the Dunemaul server within the first weeks after the European release. Even though we started out as a "casual leveling guild" by size and membership composition, our goal right from start was to develop into a professional raiding guild. During our late BWL progression phase, we decided to move to Executus due to server lag and instability on Dunemaul. Here we had AQ40 on farm and 11/14 bosses cleared in Naxx.

During TBC we have cleared all content up to M'uru in Sunwell and killed M'uru and KJ after the 3.0 patch.

In WOTLK we have cleared all current content and we're working on the remaining achievements.

We're currently looking for the following:

NOTE:

Tainted has been arround since early 2006, since then we've focussed on killing PVE bosses. We got allot of "realm first" kills, including Kil'Jaeden "prenerf". However due to recent events and gamechanges done by Blizzard our core raiding team has significantly suffered from this. Therefore we've opened up the recruitment to allow people to prove their worth, especially since Icecrown is on our doorstep!

We have completed all Hard Modes currently in the game including Heroic Anub?arak (Tribute to Insanity), Algalon, and Yogg + 0.

What we are looking for:

-Skilled, dedicated raiders that are in it for the long haul.
-The ability to play all different specs of your class.
-Willingness to learn, and learn quickly.
-As close to 100% raiding attendance as possible, especially as an initiate.
-Having all consumables readily available for every raid. This means flasks, potions, food, glyphs, and anything else you may need.
-You must be able to take constructive criticism.
-Ability to know when to act serious, but also have fun at the same time.

If you think that all of the above apply to you, then feel free to submit an application at any time. Apps that are well written are more likely to get more review time by the officers. If you don?t spend much time writing it, chances are we won?t spend much time reviewing it. We are always looking for exceptional players of any class do add to our roster.

About :
Formerly Ascent of Thrall, we have currently moved to Detheroc PVP server. Ascent has been the long standing top guild on Thrall server and top 50 worldwide guild . Due to the limited nature of solid applicants we got on PVE realms, we have decided to move to Detheroc PVP server in hopes of expanding on our successful legacy on a PVE realm. We believe there are many great players to be found in the PVP environment and hope to expand our roster with excellent players.

Raid Times:
currently runs raids Sunday-Thursday from 8:00PM -12:00AM EST. Raid times are subject to go later up to about an hour depending on the circumstances (ie pushing for a first kill). We currently run all or our main raids in these time frames, 10 and 25. When Icecrown launches, we will primarily use these times to run our 25 man raids, 10 mans will be run after or on the weekends when able.
Standard raid schedule:
Monday: 8:00pm - 12:00am EST

Loot:
Loot distribution is currently awarded via loot council made up of long standing members of the guild. Loot decisions are NOT popularity contests and are awarded based on a combination of many factors including, but not limited to: past loot, attendance, performance, reliability, attitude, and upgrade.

About Detheroc:
Detheroc is a Low/Medium population CST PvP Realm on the Shadowburn battlegroup. The server has a heavy Horde proportion, which works to our favor because we are a Horde guild. The world and instance servers are stable and there are almost never any latency/lag issues that affect our raids.
